Lu Yue In an interview about the exhibition, I talked about the introduction of "fashion art" into China and into the teaching process, as well as years of creative experience. "Thank my students for their efforts in fashion art with me. It is my greatest hope that "green is better than blue". Lv Yue said.

Q: as the first person to introduce "fashion art" to China, what drives you to focus on the Fashion Art International Exhibition for ten years and the establishment of fashion discipline in China Central Academy of Fine Arts?

A: in the ten years, most of my energy has been spent on two main tasks: the first is the establishment of fashion design major of China Central Academy of Fine Arts. In the early stage of fashion design, in order to establish a mature teaching system quickly, I took many courses in my own, and explored experience and corrected teaching methods in practice. This is a very complicated work.

On the other hand, it is about Fashion Art Research. As early as 1996, when I was a career designer, I had many opportunities to see shows abroad. At that time, Europe did not strictly define the design and art as the Art to wear of the United States, but brought art into the design of clothing. This is quite different from the concept of Chinese designers. With doubts, I rethink the limits of art and design, and begin to try to interpret works with new perspective of thinking.

During this period, I try to create works. Rope as material The content is added to the course. It was not until 2005 when we met with Mr. chin Chi Shu of Korea that we learned that Korean fashion art had been developing for ten years. We decided to learn from the mature experience of Korea and explore the direction of fashion art as a lesson for us.

In the past ten years, I have received a lot of support and help, including fashion artist Qin Jishu, theoretical commentator Xu Ping, former president of Beijing garment textile industry association, evergreen lady, and artists who participated in the exhibition, as well as those who gave me encouragement and support during this period.

Q: what are the impressive moments in the collaboration with Jiu gallery?

A: This is my second collaboration with Jiu gallery. The first is the just concluded Sino Korea Exchange Exhibition. It is also the third cooperation exhibition between the fashion center of the Central Academy of fine arts and the Hongyi University of Korea. This year, the Central Academy of Fine Arts Fashion professional hired Korean teachers to carry out fashion art thinking training courses for students, and presented in the form of fashion art works. At the end of the course, doctoral students from Hongyi University, Korea, together with young teachers from domestic brotherhood and my graduate students, exhibited their works at the gallery.

Q: what do you think is the relationship between the two roles of artists and teachers?

A: most of the teachers in the Central Academy of fine arts are both artists and teachers. While doing creative practice, they bring the experience and achievements in practice to the classroom, and teachers and students benefit. I think this is a complementary relationship.

The two identities of artists and designers may be more contradictory than artists and teachers. For a fashion designer, if you can have an artist's mind at the same time, you will have an entry to your mind when you design. This is very helpful for the design. I enjoy this role transformation very much.
